Bringing in a variety of big name shows and housing both the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars. American Airlines Center serves more than 2 million guests during 200+ live events each year. We aim to provide genuine, memorable and innovative experiences to every single one of our guests and demand excellence and creativity in everything we do.

We are seeking energetic and customer service oriented Parking Attendants to join our Parking Services team. The parking attendant will greet patrons in a friendly and positive manner, charge guests appropriate lot rate and issue credit card or debit card receipts for all transactions, check authorized names off list, and/or collect valid parking pass as guests enter the facility. Directs vehicles to available parking spaces and assists customers with questions within the parking lots and garages during events.

Essential Functions: 

  • Follows all Employee Safety Guidelines and building protocols
  • Greets each guest entering parking facility and assists guests with questions
  • Collects revenues and issues credit card/debit card receipts to all guests
  • Scans parking passes from prepaid guests
  • Checks name off list of guests on the authorized parking VIP app list
  • Directs vehicles to the closest available parking space
  • Set ups and moves traffic cones, signs and barricades as necessary to control traffic in assigned area
  • Follows all Parking Policies and Procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/ Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Ability to navigate Smart phone devices to process all parking transactions
  • Parking experience preferred
  • Must be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and a professional appearance at all times
  • Ability to speak well to patrons and other employees
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to make sure correct lot rate is entered in the smart device for all lots

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Must adhere to all company safety and building protocols
  • Ability to regularly stand for 4-6 hours in a period of time
  • Ability to walk, run and use hands to feel or handle, reach, talk and hear;
  • Requires specific vision abilities:  close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as needed
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
  • Requires working mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  • Requires working near moving vehicles
  • Requires working in outdoor weather conditions, frequently being exposed to extreme temperatures
